Never a Nobody
Life is full of journeys. School. Marriage. Job. House. Baby. Just to name a few. What we’re less likely to bring up in casual conversation is the deep stuff we go through while on these journeys. I feel like the Lord recently bookended a year long journey of self-discovery. Not that I know it all, but I’ve discovered pieces over the course of this year that I feel can finally be summed up. I’ve never been a nobody. (Neither have you ever been a nobody). My whole life people have poured into me that I can “be somebody” regarding my musical talent. How capable I am of achieving, essentially, what amounts to a stardom status one day. Now before this goes on to sound conceited, it’s not. I promise. These encouragements and compliments, though stated without malicious intent, built me to believe that I could “be somebody” one day. Well hold up, if I have believed all along that I could
